Education:

Myron B. Licht DO,FACC is a double board certified, interventionally trained cardiologist practicing in Arizona since 1993. He received his Bachelor's degree in 1980 from Rutgers University, New Brunswick,New Jersey and his Osteopathic Medical Degree in 1986 from the New York School of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, New York. He continued his training at Harford Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut completing his internal medicine residency and cardiac fellowship in 1993.

Apex Heart Care:

After 14 years of practicing both noninvasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Licht decided to devote 100% of his effort to perfecting office-based cardiology, thus the beginning of Apex Heart Care LLC. Dr Licht maintains ties to the interventional, electrophysiologic, and hospital based community with whom he collaborates when needed.

"It's About Our Heart":

Dr Licht has been the host of "Its About Your Heart" a weekly call-in heath talk show. Here he advocated healthcare reform and a return to perfecting the Doctor-Patient relationship. He now writes a blog with the same name.

Music:

Some may also have seen Dr. Licht in entirely different setting, playing jazz drums. Dr. Licht is an accomplished musician making, at 14, All-State in New Jersey. He has played locally with Blaise Lantana, and Kerry Campbell as well as his own groups. Dr. Licht was fortunate to study with one of the greatest drummers of the our age, Joe Morello, the drum virtuoso of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. No doubt most are familiar with his drumming on the jazz tune "Take Five".

Recent Article:

Dr. Licht has been recently interviewed by Luis Gonzales, of Echo Magazine. He alerted the AIDS/HIV community to the connection between antiviral drugs used to deter the HIV virus and the development of lipid abnormalities which acutely increase the risk of the taker for coronary artery disease and diabetes.
